The primary purpose & goals of the Duquesne University Sports Performance Program is to optimize every student-athlete's athletic potential while decreasing the likelihood of injury. Our team applies evidence-based methods to safely attain improvements in muscle hypertrophy, strength, speed of movement, range of motion, proprioception, and biomechanical efficiency of all moving parts to best prepare each athlete for the specific demands of his or her sport. We take each day as an opportunity to inspire, motivate, and empower our athletes to improve physically, be better teammates, and develop real-world preparedness.
We believe in a "We Before Me" team-oriented approach to address all aspects of athletic potential, including strength, power, mobility, nutrition, and holistic well-being. Our diverse team of athletic trainers, physical therapists, physicians, sport coaches, strength coaches, dietitians, psychologists, and administration will strive each day to provide top-notch, cutting-edge care.
