It is the purpose of the Duquesne strength program to build strength through consistent and progressive overload of the muscles worked and used in the specific sports played by all of the different athletes at the university. It is in these specific exercises, done on a consistent schedule, constantly seeking to raise the weight or raise the reps each and every workout, which strength is built to help avoid injuries, improve performance, and add confidence. A stronger athlete is both a better athlete as well as a healthier athlete. "Go heavy or go home."
