NCAA Compliance

Welcome to Duquesne University's Athletics Compliance web site! As you know, the Compliance Office is committed to assisting the Department of Athletics in meeting the standards of "institutional control" that are mandated by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). As a Division I athletics program that is a member of the Atlantic 10 and Northeast Conferences, Duquesne University is obligated to uphold the rules and regulations that have been established to govern intercollegiate athletics participation in its 20 varsity sports.

The Duquesne University Athletics Compliance Office works to help educate its student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty, staff and boosters about the basic requirements and guidelines that must be followed in order to make the Dukes compliant.

This web site has been designed to provide a quick reference to important compliance-related topics. The objective is to explain and monitor compliance principles through the helpful links below and required forms. If you have any questions that this site does not answer, please feel free to contact Rick Christensen (e-mail: christensen@duq.edu), Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, in the DU Athletics Compliance Office.
