Duquesne Athletics Announces Summer Social Media Plan Campaign

PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne athletic department has announced their social media campaign for June, July and August. Though social media efforts on GoDuquesne on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, fans can see what is happening on the Bluff during the summer months, have a chance to win prizes and be featured on our social media sites.

June - #30DaysOfDukes It's not as quiet on the Bluff as you may think in June. The athletic department will let our fans into the lives of our student-athletes and staff for the month of June. We'll check in on the road, from team camps, all around the Bluff and Pittsburgh.

July - #23DaysOfGiveaways We are going to keep everybody fresh while class is out and give you a daily quiz Monday through Friday the entire month of July. You can win prizes such as t-shirts, tickets, autographed gear and more. Fans can post their answers @GoDuquesne on Twitter.

Here's what you can win:

  • a $25 gift certificate to the Red Ring compliments of Parkhurst Dining
  • a gym bag compliments of GNC
  • 1 complimentary night stay and a tin of cookies at the Doubletree by Hilton Pittsburgh Green Tree (all participants for this prize MUST be 18 years old) 
  • various prizes from South Side Works vendors

August - #BackToTheBluff Teams are reporting back for camp and we will take a look into the pre-season with returning and the newest Dukes on the Bluff.

All summer long - #DUQDestinations Heading to New York City? The beach? The World Cup? Print out The Duke and take him with you! Email us your photos (to Nicole at of The Duke with you on vacation this summer. Your photo could be featured on our social media sites to win Dukes prizes.​
