Duquesne Athetics Announces Partnership with Turner Dairy
June 11, 2014
PITTSBURGH -The Duquesne athletic department announced today a new partnership with Turner Dairy. The partnership will center on a campaign featuring chocolate milk as the official refuel beverage for Duquesne Athletics. The campaign will educate athletes and fans on the benefits of refueling with chocolate milk post-exercise.
"We're happy to help Duquesne athletes recover and refuel with Turner's Low Fat Chocolate Milk and to promote low fat chocolate milk as an optimum post-workout beverage for athletes of all ages," says Chuck Turner, president of Turner Dairy Farms.
The new partnership demonstrates a growing trend among athletes who have begun drinking chocolate milk post-exercise, enabling athletes to perform their best. Low fat chocolate milk has an ideal mix of carbohydrates and high-quality protein that have been scientifically proven to help your body recover quickly and rebuild lean muscle.
"We are pleased to announce that, for the month of June, we will be partnering with Turner Dairy to provide chocolate milk to our athletes," says Dennis Cuturic, Duquesne athletics' Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. "Chocolate milk has been shown to have the ideal ratio of nutrients for a post-workout beverage to best help athletes recover from the demands of both the weight room and of their sport. Our athletes will greatly benefit from a natural source of carbohydrates, protein, and electrolytes to help them refuel, recover, and rehydrate."
