Over 100 fans of Duquesne Athletics turned out for a steak fry at Avonworth Park on Thursday, August 7. Those in attendance had the chance to mingle with athletics staff and coaches at the three-hour event.

Director of Athletics Greg Amodio along with men's and women's head basketball coaches Ron Everhart and Suzie McConnell-Serio addressed the crowd. In addition, head football coach Jerry Schmitt took a break from camp to update fans on the team's progress.

The steak fry, sponsored by the Duquesne Athletic Fund, was the second of two held this summer. The first was at Scott Park in the South Hills in June.

The Duquesne Athletic Fund's next event is the annual golf outing set for Monday, September 29 at Treesdale Golf & Country Club in Gibsonia, Pa. Registration forms for the outing may be accessed by clicking the "Events" button located on the lower portion of GoDuquesne.com.
