PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne University Department of Athletics partnered with Career Athletes for a student-athlete Career Forum in the Power Center ballroom on Monday, Oct. 21.

Nearly 100 student-athletes had the opportunity to network with representatives from the service, health care and business industries as well as meet with reps from area graduate programs in an effort to help prepare them for life after college.

The event, open to Duquesne junior and senior student-athletes only, featured an employer panel, professional round table talks and a job networking fair.

Prior to the forum, Duquesne University Career Services offered support by offering resume development workshops for student-athletes.

Representatives from Enterprise, City Year, Federated and Northwestern Mutual were panelists. Additional outlets with representative at the forum included PLS Logisitics, Carnegie-Mellon Heinz, TeamGLEAS, Bayer, Teach for America, Cintas, UMPC Sports Medicine and UPMC Health Plan Group.
