Vic Bauer is in his 14th year working at Duquesne and his eighth season working with the men's basketball program. In addition to men's basketball, Bauer also oversees the men's and women's cross country teams.
In his time at Duquesne, the St. Mary's, Pa. native has served as rehabilitation coordinator for the athletic training department as well as head athletic trainer for a number of sports including football, wrestling, baseball, cross country, track and field and women's soccer.
Bauer completed his bachelor's degree in athletic training at Mercyhurst College in 1992 and added a master's in athletic training from California University of Pennsylvania in 1993. He is board certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association and is a member of the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society. He also holds American Red Cross, First Aid, CPR and AED certifications.
Bauer is an active triathlete who has competed in four Ironman tiathlons including a 74th place finish at the 2007 Ford Ironman Lake Placid. Bauer and his wife, Missy, reside in the Bellevue section of Pittsburgh.
