Joe Gatti is beginning his 10th year at Duquesne University as the head athletic trainer with the football team. Gatti is also responsible for coordinating the weekly injury clinics with Duquesne's team physicians.
Gatti received his bachelor's degree in sports medicine from Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1998. Then in 2000 Gatti received his master's degree in sports medicine with a specialization in athletic training from the University of Pittsburgh.
Before joining the staff at Duquesne Gatti worked as the athletic trainer at Yough Senior High School where he provided coverage to all the high school athletic teams. Gatti is also certified as a performance enhancement specialist by the National Academy for Sports Medicine and is an American Heart Association instructor. He and his wife Darcie reside in Monroeville with their son T.J.
