Liam Halferty joined the Duquesne athletic department in July 2017 as an Assistant Director of Media Relations, serving as the Dukes' primary media contact for football, cross country, swimming and diving, lacrosse, rowing and track and field as well as the secondary contact for men's basketball.
Halferty returned to his hometown of Pittsburgh following two years as the Director of Athletics Communications and Multimedia Services at Centre College in Danville, Ky. He was the primary media contact for the Colonels' 23 NCAA Division III teams while also overseeing the multimedia and video efforts of the athletic department.

While at Edinboro, Halferty also worked for the Erie BayHawks, NBA D-League affiliate of the Orlando Magic as one of the team’s gameday statisticians and was also a member of the gameday production crew for the Erie SeaWolves, the Detroit Tigers’ Double-A affiliate.
Halferty is a graduate of Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa., where he earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast and digital communications. He also lettered for four years on the Westminster baseball team and two seasons playing basketball for the Titans.
