On Friday May 9th the Duquesne women began a weekend of racing in Philadelphia at the 75th Dad Vail Regatta. This year the Dukes brought a full complement of varsity boats as well as a novice eight.

Duquesne University head men's basketball coach Jim Ferry announced that 6-8 junior college transfer Dominique McKoy (Atlanta, Ga./Cowley College) and 6-6 Charles "L.G." Gill (Chesterfield, Va./Benedictine College Prep) have signed National Letters of Intent, making them the sixth and seventh members of the 2013-14 recruiting class.

Sophomore lacrosse midfielder Amanda Kidder was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-West/Midwest Region First Team.

Three Duquesne University rowers were named to 2013 Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing All-Conference teams. Senior Rachael Ross was named First Team All-Conference while fellow seniors Maria De Iuliis and Kristy Pietrone were named to the second team.

Brittney Edwards was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer after placing first in the Long Jump (19-6.25) and second in the Triple Jump (41-0.25), tying her school record.

On Saturday, May 4th Duquesne Rowing was in Cherry Hill, NJ for their Atlantic-10 Conference Championship. It was the most successful showing for the team at the Championship with all of the varsity boats advancing to the grand final and the teams best finish since the points system changed.

Duquesne's men's track & field team finished 10th of 13 teams at the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championships in Charlotte, N.C over the weekend. Alex Gladysiewski was the Dukes top individual finisher, placing fourth in the javelin with a throw of 187-03.25 feet.
