Buck Bollinger returns to the Duquesne baseball coaching staff for his third season as an assistant. He and his family arrived in the Pittsburgh area in May of 2003 courtesy of the United States Army, where is an active duty officer.
Bollinger spent his high school and college years in Southern California where he played baseball for Chapman University from 1986-88. He played shortstop, second base and spent a year behind the plate at catcher. A steady performer, he hit above .300 each year and his fielding percentage was always above .998. Bollinger's last and final season as a ballplayer was for the Fairbanks Goldpanners in the Alaskan Summer League. The Goldpanners placed second that year in an international tournament with the Japanese in Hawaii.
Bollinger holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Human Resources Management, and is currently working toward his Ph.D. in Operations Management.
