Diamond Dukes Defeat Holy Cross, 10-4

The baseball team captured its first win of the season, defeating Holy Cross, 10-4 Wednesday afternoon in Florida.
The Dukes were led by John Rieg, Steve Maiolo and Bill Swart who each had two hits. Freshman Travis Rife pitched 5 2/3 innings of relief work, allowing two unearned runs on three hits while striking out five to pick up his first collegiate win.
The Red and Blue return to action tomorrow, Thursday, March 6 as they face Valparaiso at 1:00 pm.
