DU Baseball Tops Fordham in Game 2, 17-4

Duquesne's baseball team continued Sunday's suspended game on Monday and captured a 17-4 victory over visiting Fordham. The Dukes raised their conference record to 4-1, 11-12 overall. The Rams are 2-3 in league play, 5-11 overall.

Winning 6-2 in the top of the fifth, the Dukes allowed the Rams to cut the lead to 6-4, but scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth and nine in the bottom of the sixth to secure the win.

John Rieg was 4-6 with three RBI and two runs scored, Andy Gallina was 3-5 with one run scored and four RBI, Dan Schwartzbauer had three RBI and Mike Grecco blasted a three-run homer. Sean Wilson and Luke Taggart also added three hits in part of DU's season-high 21-hit barrage.

On the mound, Bob Reifschneider improved to 4-1 on the season while Adam Haun picked up his first collegiate save.
