After four innings of scoreless baseball, George Washington scored runs in the fifth through eighth innings to down Duquesne, 6-1 Sunday afternoon at Duquesne Field. Mike Carroll, Bill Torre and Chris Happ each had two hits while Happ knocked in the lone DU run.

Andrew Heck pitched 7 2/3 innings, striking out seven while walking none. He faced just 12 Colonial batters through the first four innings before surrendering home runs in three straight frames. Paul Bugajski pitched the final one and a third scoreless.

The Dukes return to action on Wednesday, April 29 as they host Kent State at 3:00 pm at Duquesne Field.
