The baseball team split an Atlantic 10 double-header with visiting Xavier Friday afternoon, losing game one, 9-4 and winning game two, 4-3.

In game one, Sean Wilson led the Dukes with a 3-4 effort at the plate while Pete Maropis hit a two-run homer. In game two, with the Dukes trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth, senior Brian Frey hit a two-run single to give the Dukes the winning margin. Maropis and John Rieg each had two hits in the game while Rieg had the other two RBI. Freshman Adam Haun earned the complete game victory to improve to 4-4.

Game three of the series will be played tomorrow, Saturday, May 3 at noon at Duquesne Field.
