Red and Blue Shut Out by GW, 6-0

Duquesne's baseball team dropped the opening contest of a three-game Atlantic 10 series with visting George Washington, 6-0 Thursday afternoon at Duquesne Field.
Senior Steve Maiolo, making his school record 155th consecutive start, was the only Duke to get a hit off of GW pitcher Derrik Lutz, going 2-3 on the day.
Game two of the series will be played Friday at 1:00 pm. The Dukes will need to win their two remaining games to have a chance to earn their fourth straight Atlantic 10 Championship berth.
