Richard Pitino is in his second season as an assistant to Ron Everhart and first season at Duquesne.
Pitino, 23, joined Everhart's staff at Northeastern prior to last season after serving as an administrative assistant under Tom Herrion at the College of Charleston.
Pitino, who completed his undergraduate degree in history at Providence College in 2005, spent two seasons as a manager for the Friar's men's basketball team. In his junior year, PC reached a high rank of No. 12 (AP) in earning the school's 15th NCAA Tournament trip.
While at Providence, Pitino also served as an assistant coach at Saint Andrew's School in Barrington, R.I. for two years. In his first season, the team finished the year ranked 25th in the nation by USA Today and won the New England Prep School Championship.
Richard is the son of Louisville head coach Rick Pitino.
