Fordham Shoots Their Way Past Duquesne, 90-63

Fordham shot 68.8 percent from the field in jumping out to a 57-31 halftime lead and coasted to a 90-63 win over Duquesne at Rose Hill Gym.
The win upped Fordham's record to 2-1 in the Atlantic 10 and 7-9 overall, while Duquesne dropped to 0-4 in league play and 2-13 overall.
Fordham, which hit 8-of-10 3-point attempts in the opening 20 minutes, was led by Cory McCrae's 20 points. Bryant Dunston added 17 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for the Rams.
Fordham jumped on the Dukes early, scoring 17 points in the first 5:01 to take a 17-7 lead. The Rams would maintain at least a double-digit margin the rest of the way. McCrae, who was 6-of-7 from the 3-point arc for the game, scored 14 in the first half as the Fordham bench outscored Duquesne's 33-5. The Rams upped their lead to 33 early in the second half and never saw their lead dip below 20 in the second 20 minutes.
Fordham, which shot 53.2 percent for the game, outrebounded Duquesne 45-19, with 23 of the boards coming at the offensive end. FU finished the game 12-of-20 from the 3-point arc. Duquesne, led by Duke's 7-of-10 effort, shot 36.4 percent.
