Duquesne-George Washington

Jan. 25, 2006

Recap |  Box Score |  Notes

Duquesne head coach Danny Nee

"That's the first time in a long time - at least since the Boston College game (Dec. 27) - that we competed. That last eight or nine minutes we just got tired. Part of it was great defensive pressure by George Washington and part was fatigue on our end. The game was a lot closer than the final score indicated. I think we made a step in the right direction. If we can go into St. Bonaventure with this kind of effort, we have a chance to win.

"Pops [Mensah-Bonsu] is the real deal. He's improved so much in every area. He's an NBA player for sure."
