ST. CATHERINES, ONT - Duquesne completed a rare day-night basketball doubleheader sweep with a 109-68 win over Brock University at Bob Davis Gymnasium in St. Catherines, Ontario.
T.J. McConnell led seven players in double figures with 18 points for the Dukes, who defeated A-Game Hoops in Toronto six hours earlier. B.J. Monteiro had 17, Eric Evans 15, Andre Marhold 11 and Mike Talley and Jerry Jones 10 each for DU.
Theo Davis and Mark Gibson paced Brock with 15 points each. Davis had a game-high 14 rebounds.
Duquesne showed no ill effects from its earlier game and one-and-one-half hour bus ride south by hitting its first five 3-point attempts in jumping out to a 26-19 after one quarter.
McConnell scored seven in the second quarter as the Dukes expanded the lead to 52-33 at the half.
The Dukes forced 17 Brock turnovers in the first half and 34 for the game in outscoring the Badgers 48-12 off miscues.
Duquesne opened the second half with a 15-5 run to go up 67-38. A Jones jumper with 3:37 to go in the third quarter gave the Dukes their first 30-point lead at 72-42. Mike Talley's layup with 3:10 left was DU's 100th point.
The DU lead ballooned to as many as 41 in the fourth quarter.
The Dukes, who finished 12-of-21 from the 3-point arc, outshot the Badgers 54.1 percent to 34.4 percent.
DU went 17-of-23 from the foul line.
Duquesne finished with 20 steals lead by Johnson with six and Evans with four. Marhold led DU with seven rebounds.
Duquesne will conclude its trip to Canada with a rematch against A-Game Hoops at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

The game was played under FIBA rules (four 10-minute quarters, wide lane, different timeout structure etc.)
Six players hit at least one 3-pointer in the first half (DU was 7-of-10 from the arc in the first 20 minutes).
Freshman Danny Herrera scored eight points in the third quarter including his first two 3-pointers of the tour.
Duquesne scored 26, 26, 29 and 28 in the four quarters ... Brock scored 19, 14, 19 and 16.
