Duquesne head coach Danny Nee:
"I was comfortable with how we played. I thought our shot selection was excellent. The thing I noticed most was the team making the extra pass.
"I was a little disappointed with the 15 turnovers, but they didn't come from our guards, they came from other people. I thought our rebounding was respectable. We also got good play from our bench. If we can keep getting contributions from the bench, we have a chance to be a lot better."
Duquesne guard/forward Jimmy Tricco:
"Both Oso [Martin Osimani] and Bryant [McAllister] did a good job of distributing the ball. We're still building. Its a learning process. In the first half our defense was great. Ron Dokes did a good job on their big fella." (note: PVU center Roderick Riley, a preseason All-SWAC pick was 5-of-14 from the field for 16 points, he scored just four in the first half.)
Duquesne forward Jon Pawlak:
"There has been a 180 degree turn since I've been here. It feels good knowing we're going to go out and compete every night. It is a combination of coaching and players getting along on and off the court that has all together made us a much better team. Everybody knows their role pretty well."
