Duquesne (7-11, 0-4) welcomes Saint Louis (12-5, 1-2) - the preseason pick to finish second in the Atlantic 10 - on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 7:00 p.m. DU has faced the preseason No. 1 (Saint Joseph's), No. 3 (VCU) and No. 5 (UMass) picks in its first four A-10 games.
DU is coming off a 90-63 loss to No. 22 (AP) VCU on Saturday at CONSOL Energy Center ... the Rams jumped on the Dukes early in rolling to a 44-18 halftime lead ... freshmen Derrick Colter (15 points), Quevyn Winters (12) and Jeremiah Jones (10) combined for 37 of the Dukes' 63 points ... senior Sean Johnson had 11.
SLU is coming off an 82-80 overtime loss at home to Rhode Island ... Kwamain Mitchell led the Billikens with 29 points, 7 assists and 6 steals ... there were 11 ties and 21 lead changes in the game ... Saint Louis had won nine in row prior to dropping its last two (at Temple and to URI).
DU is 6-2 at home (5-2 at Palumbo Center and 1-1 at CONSOL Energy Center) the Dukes had a five-game home win streak snapped by Saint Joseph's on Jan. 12 (74-66) ... Saint Louis is the only A-10 team without a road win (0-2).
Duquesne will hit the road for a pair following the Saint Louis game ... the Dukes are at Dayton on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 4:00 p.m., then head to Olean, N.Y. to face St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Feb. 2 also at 4:00 p.m. ... the UD and SBU games will both be televised regionally by CBS Sports Network ... the Dayton game will air locally on PCNC and the St. Bonaventure game will be carried by ROOT Sports Pittsburgh.

Dwayne Evans led five players in double digits with 20 points and 14 rebounds as Saint Louis shot 52.7 percent in defeating the Duquesne, 75-60, at Palumbo Center.

This is the 16th meeting between Duquesne and eighth-year Atlantic 10 member Saint Louis ... SLU, which has won five of six - including the last three, leads the overall series 8-7 ... in regular season Atlantic 10 play SLU leads 7-4 ... DU is 4-3 all-time vs. Saint Louis in Pittsburgh.
The this is the first season since 2008-09 that Dukes and Billikens are not meeting home-and-home... SLU swept the series last year: 68-41 at Chaifetz Arena and 75-60 at Pittsburgh

Saint Louis, which entered the Atlantic 10 season on an eight-game win streak, extended it to nine with a conference-opening 70-62 win over UMass ... since the UMass game, the Billikens have dropped two in a row (64-54 at Temple and 82-80 in OT to Rhode Island at home on Saturday).
SLU is the only Atlantic 10 school without a road win (0-2, with losses at Washington, 66-61 and at Temple, 64-54) ... the Billikens have played fewer road games than any team in the conference (Dayton and Xavier are the next-closest with four road games each).
SLU has four players averaging between 10.1 and 11.2 ppg. ... Mike McCall Jr. leads the way at 11.2 ppg.

Duquesne missed 13 of 14 shots and turned it over six times during the VCU run ... freshmen Derrick Colter (15 points), Quevyn Winters (12) and Jeremiah Jones (10) combined for 37 of DU's 63 points ... Duquesne was outrebounded 42-29 and outscored 24-10 in second chance points ... the Dukes had one assist and 10 turnovers in the first half ... DU followed an 0-of-9 first half by going 7-of-10 from the 3-point arc in the second ... VCU outscored DU 44-18 in the first half and 46-45 in the second ... VCU's largest lead was 35 with 8:00 left.
