Atlantic 10 co-Player of the Week Micah Mason

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne's Micah Mason (Natrona Heights, Pa./Highlands/Drake) has been named Atlantic 10 co-Player of the Week for his performance in Duquesne's 71-64 win at No. 10 (AP) Saint Louis last week.
The 6-2 sophomore guard went 8-of-10 from the field, including 4-of-5 from the 3-point arc in helping the Dukes to their first road win over a Top 10 team in 52 years.
Mason, who hit 6-of-7 free throws in the final 40 seconds to seal the win, also had 3 assists and a career high-tying 3 steals against the Billikens.
He is the first Duke under second-year head coach Jim Ferry to be named Player of the Week. The last DU player to earn the honor was B.J. Monteiro on Jan. 2, 2012.
Mason leads NCAA Division I in 3-point shooting percentage at .566.
Duquesne (12-15, 4-10) completes the home portion of the 2013-14 schedule against Massachusetts (22-6, 9-5) on Wednesday, Mar. 5 at 7:00 p.m.
