Aaron Jackson One of 64 Players Invited to Portsmouth Invitational

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne senior guard Aaron Jackson is among 64 players who have accepted an invitation to participate in the Portsmouth Invitational April 8-11 in Portsmouth, Va.

Jackson, who will be joined by fellow Atlantic 10 players Jimmy Baron (Rhode Island), Ahmad Nivins (Saint Joseph's) and B.J. Raymond (Xavier), will play for the Portsmouth Partnership team.

Other local players invited include Pitt's Levance Fields (Cherry, Bekaert & Holland) and Sam Young (Portsmouth Sports Club) and West Virginia's Alex Ruoff (Tidewater Sealants).

Jackson will play his first game on Wednesday, April 8 at 9:00 p.m. against the Tidewater Sealants. The tournament is comprised of eight, eight-man teams with two games scheduled for the 8th, three on the 9th & 10th and four on the 11th.

This is the 57th year for the P.I.T which annually invites 64 of the best college basketball players (seniors) from across the nation to participate in a four-day, twelve game tournament in front of representatives from every NBA team as well as a number of scouts from international leagues.
