PITTSBURGH - Former Duquesne guard Aaron Jackson, who has played professionally overseas since graduating from DU in 2009, made his NBA debut last night as a member of the Houston Rockets.

Jackson, who played this past season with the Beijing Ducks, signed with the Rockets yesterday and played 34 minutes in Houston's regular season finale at Sacramento. He will be playoff eligible for the Rockets who finished the regular season with the best record in the NBA at 65-17.

Jackson, a first team All-Atlantic 10 player for the Dukes in 2009, has played professionally in Turkey, Italy, Spain and Russia in addition to China.

Jackson is the first Duke to play in an NBA game since Mike James finished his 12-year career with the Chicago Bulls in 2014.

Houston, the top seed in the Western Conference, faces Minnesota in round one of the playoffs starting Sunday.
