PITTSBURGH - Eric Evans, a 1,000-point scorer for Duquesne from 2009-12, has signed a contract to play professionally for Ynni ONMKY, a First Division team in Finland.

The Detroit native finished his career 32nd on DU's scoring list with 1,055 points and sixth in games played (119). A team co-captain with B.J. Monteiro as a senior, Evans was one of only 10 players in school history with over 1,000 points (1,055) and 300 assists (309).

Evans is the sixth member of DU's 2009 NIT team to sign a professional contract. The others: Bill Clark, Aaron Jackson, Aleksandar Milovic, B.J. Monteiro and Damian Saunders.
