#DUQMBB Announces 2014-15 Non-Conference Schedule

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne will play seven of 11 games at home as part of the men's basketball non-conference schedule released today.
The Dukes, who return four starters under the direction of third-year head coach Jim Ferry, will open against Bluefield State on Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Palumbo Center.
DU will head to Texas to face Abilene Christian on Nov. 22, before returning for back-to-back home games against NJIT (Nov. 29) and Howard (Dec. 2).
A stretch of four games against traditional in-state rivals begins with the 83rd City Game vs. Pitt at CONSOL Energy Center on Dec. 5.
DU will head to State College to face Penn State on Dec. 10, followed by a short trip to Moon Township to play Robert Morris on Dec. 13.
The Dukes will host Saint Francis on Dec. 17 - marking the 75th meeting between the two schools.
The Saint Francis game is the first of four in a row at home, with UMass Lowell (Dec. 20), Maryland Eastern Shore (Dec. 28) and Texas-Pan American (Dec. 30) all visiting Palumbo Center before the start of Atlantic 10 play.
DU will face an 18-game conference schedule, including nine home games, marking just the second time since 1972 that the Dukes will have 16 regular-season home games. Duquesne will host five of the six A-10 schools that made an NCAA tournament appearance last season, in addition to first-year Atlantic 10 member Davidson, which earned an NIT bid as the regular season champion of the Southern Conference in 2014.
The Atlantic 10 schedule will be released at a later date.

Abilene Christian (Nov. 22) Southland Conference ... this is the second game of a home-and-home series ... DU defeated the Wildcats 94-75 in last year's opener at the Palumbo Center ... this will be the second consecutive season the Dukes will play in the Lone Star State (88-69 win at Texas-Pan American last season) ... Duquesne is 3-2 in Texas with wins in its past three games (86-59 over Rice at Katy, Texas on Nov. 17, 2007, 81-64 at Houston Baptist on Jan. 8, 2011 and last year's win at UTPA) ...
