Brian Baudinet Named Director of Men's Basketball Administration
PITTSBURGH - Duquesne University head men's basketball coach Jim Ferry announced today that Brian Baudinet (pronounced BOE-dih-nay) has been named director of administration.
Baudinet comes to DU from the NBA Development League Tulsa 66ers where he served as assistant coach and video analyst for the Oklahoma City Thunder affiliate this past season. The Winchester, Mass. native was involved in all aspects of in-game coaching as well as assisting with the formulation of practice plans for the 66ers. He also assisted extensively with player development both on the floor and through individual video sessions.
Prior to his season in Tulsa, Baudinet served as an assistant coach at Division III Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. followed by a stint at Division II American International College in Springfield, Mass.
Baudinet was a standout baseball player at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst prior to graduating with a history degree in 2010. A two-time captain as a outfielder, Baudinet holds the Atlantic 10 record for home runs in game with 4 vs. George Washington in 2010. He finished his career ranked among the UMass Top 5 in six statistical categories.
Baudinet, who attended Taft High School Watertown, Conn., began his college career at the University of Rochester where he was part of the varsity basketball team in 2005-06 prior to transferring to UMass.
