Was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA on Sept. 2 ... joined the team, despite having not practiced since November of 2010, for the Sept. 3 opener at Bucknell ... talented athlete made the move from quarterback to receiver eight games into his junior season ... the move was necessitated by repeated injuries to his right throwing shoulder ... quickly emerged as a dangerous receiver with 22 catches for 333 yards in the final four games ... followed that with 43 catches for 602 yards and five touchdowns in earning second team All-NEC honors last season ... transferred to Duquesne in June of 2008 after serving as the back-up quarterback at Michigan State in 2007 ... won a spirited battle with Kevin Rombach for the starting quarterback job in 2008 and finished with 20 touchdown passes in nine games ... averaged 24.2 yards per TD pass in his first season as a Duke ... underwent offseason shoulder surgery which sidelined him for 2009 spring drills ... continued rehabbing at the start of the 2009 season ... averaging 14.4 yards per catch for his career ... has caught a pass in 15 consecutive games since moving to receiver.

Saw action in nine of 11 games ... played quarterback for the first seven games before moving to receiver for the Saint Francis game in week eight ... finished the year fourth on the team with 22 catches for 333 yards (15.1 ypc.) in DU's final four games ... all seven of his catches of 20 yards or more, including a season-long 43-yarder versus Wagner, came in the fourth quarter ... had 13 catches for 250 yards in the fourth quarter alone ... caught a season-high seven passes for 68 yards, including a 20-yard fourth quarter TD, in his receiving debut at Saint Francis ... posted all four of his catches for 90 yards in the fourth quarter of DU's 23-17 double-overtime loss to Wagner ... his first catch - a 26-yarder - was followed by a five yard TD reception that tied the game at 14-14 with 12:10 left ... hauled in a clutch 43-yarder at the Wagner 13 with 17 seconds to go only to see the Seahawks block back-to-back field goal attempts in the closing seconds to force overtime ... had six catches for a season-high 96 yards at Sacred Heart, including three for 65 in the fourth quarter ... his 35-yard reception set up Charlie Leventry's game-winning 31-yard field goal as time expired ... finished the year with five catches for 79 yards, including grabs of 24 and 30 yards in the fourth quarter, versus Bryant ... came off the bench to complete 15-of-21 passes for 212 yards in the season-opening win over Bucknell ... entered the game on the final series of the first quarter to replace starter Kevin Rombach who was forced to leave the game with a concussion ... connected with former Michigan State teammate Dave Williams 10 times for a total of 138 yards, including a 35-yard score early in the fourth quarter, in the 24-19 win ... came off the bench to throw an 83-yard TD pass to Williams early in the fourth quarter to tie the Nicholls State game at 7-7 ... did not play at Monmouth before starting at Dayton (9-of-18, 89 yards) ... completed 19-of-31 passes for 201 yards and two TDs in his second start, a 34-20 win over Robert Morris ... threw for 194 yards (20-of-31) in just over three quarters of his third and final start at quarterback before suffering a concussion in the 55-10 loss at Albany ... did not play versus CCSU before making the move to receiver ... completed 64-of-108 passes (59.3%) for 786 yards and five TDs at quarterback.

as a sophomore (2008)
Started the first eight games before late-season shoulder soreness sidelined him for game nine at Wagner ... came off the bench in the season finale against Monmouth ... completed 139-of-267 passes (52.1%) for 1,899 yards and 20 touchdowns with 10 interceptions ... completed 30-of-47 passes for 429 yards and a school record six TDs - including five in the second half - in DU's season-opening 48-42 loss at Bucknell ... put up those numbers despite completing 2-of-6 passes for nine yards in the first quarter ... the 429 yards were nine shy of tying the school record of 438 set by Tony Zimmerman against Iona in 2000 ... the 30 completions were second only to Scott Knapp's school record 35 at Fordham in 2006 ... the performance made him the first Duquesne player to earn NEC Offensive Player of the Week honors (Sept. 8) ... the Bucknell game was Dixon's first extended playing time since he led South Park HS to the Class AA Pennsylvania State Championship with a 16-0 record in 2005 ... followed that with three more TD tosses, including a 91-yarder to Conrad Carter, in a win over Saint Francis ... the 91-yard hook-up was the second-longest pass play in modern school history ... completed 21-of-46 passes for 338 yards and two touchdowns versus Albany ... threw for three touchdowns at Central Connecticut State ... nine of his 20 touchdown passes covered 20 or more yards, including five of 40 or more ... completed scoring passes to seven different receivers.

as a freshman at Michigan State (2007)
Completed 3-of-5 passes for 37 yards and a touchdown against UAB in Michigan State's opener ... it was his only appearance of the year ... earned the back-up spot by completing 10-of-12 passes for 105 yards and a TD in MSU's spring game ... was named two-time scout team player of the week while redshirting in 2006.

Attended South Park High School in suburban Pittsburgh ... was ranked among the nation's top quarterbacks by Rivals.com (No. 17) and Scouts, Inc. (No. 37) after leading South Park to a 16-0 record and Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Class AA state championship in 2005 ... was an Associated Press Class AA all-state selection as a senior ... was also named AP Class AA Player of the Year after completing 78-of-150 passes (.520) for 1,868 yards and 20 touchdowns as South Park became just the second team in PIAA history to finish a perfect 16-0 in 2005 ... played in the 2006 Big 33 Football Classic ... was 25-2 (.926) as a two-year starter at South Park ... completed his undergraduate finance degree in December of 2010 ... currently enrolled DU's sports leadership graduate program ... date of birth: 9/10/87.
