Was named Third Team FCS All-America by The Sports Network and First Team All-NEC by league coaches ... led the team in tackles (92 including a team-high 54 solo), tackles for loss (12.0 including a team-high 6.5 sacks) and fumbles forced (3) despite missing three games ... his 11.5 tackles per game would have led the NEC and ranked tied for eighth nationally had he met the NCAA minimum requirement for games played (75 percent of a team's total) ... had four tackles, including a sack, and forced a fumble in week two vs. Dayton and led the Dukes with nine tackles (5 solo) including a pair of tackles for loss at Valpo ... followed that with 14 stops (10 solo) in the win at Bryant to earn NEC Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 24) ... with DU down 21-17 and Bryant facing 1st-and-goal at the 4-yard line early in the fourth quarter, Bell met BU preseason All-American running back Jordan Brown, stripped the ball and recovered it at the three ... the Dukes rode the momentum-changing play to 18 unanswered points ... followed the Bryant game with a game-high 12 stops (10 solo) in the 24-21 win over Saint Francis, then set a career high with 15 stops at CCSU ... topped them all with 14 tackles, 4.0 sacks (5.0 TFL), an interception and fumble forced to earn NEC Defensive Player of the Week for a second time following the win over Sacred Heart ... was also named national Defensive Player of the Week by the Sports Network, ECAC and College Sports Journal following the Sacred Heart game ... added 14 stops, including 1.5 sacks vs. Monmouth and had team-high 10 tackles at Robert Morris ... missed the last two games of the season with a hand injury.
