2011 NEC Defensive Player of the Year ... was the only player from the NEC to earn Associated Press All-America honors (third team) last season ... joined nine-year NFL veteran Leigh Bodden (AP All-America defensive back in 2002 & 2003) as the only DU underclassman to earn the honor ... is the sixth player in school history, and first since Bruce Hocker in 2006, to be named AP All-America ... anchored a 2011 secondary that led the nation in pass defense ... the unit also led the NEC in total defense, scoring defense, pass defense and pass efficiency defense ... began his career at outside linebacker before making the move to safety in the spring of 2011 ... enters his senior season with 160 tackles, inlcuding a team high 96 solo stops ... his 21.0 career tackles for loss are nine more than any other DU returnee ... hard-hitter has forced seven career fumbles (including six in the past two seasons) ... the seven fumbles forced rank tied for ninth among FCS returnees ... has played in every game since stepping on campus ... brings a streak of 25 consecutive starts into the 2011 campaign.

Made the move to free safety and responded by being named NEC Defensive Player of the Year and Third Team Associated Press All-America ... started all 11 games ... helped the secondary lead the nation in pass defense (139.3 ypg.) ... finished with 48 tackles (28 solo), 4.0 tackles for loss including one sack, three forced fumbles, a pair of interceptions and four passes broken up ... earned NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors after forcing three fumbles - two of which led to scores - in DU's 16-0 win in the snow and rain at Monmouth ... finished with six tackles including a sack (1.5 total TFL) as DU handed MU its first shutout since 2004 ... added 10 tackles (6 solo) including 1.5 tackles for loss in a 28-21 win over CCSU ... returned an interception 42 yards at Sacred Heart ... made his debut as a return man in 2011 ... brought back 11 punts for 103 yards including a 45 yard return vs. Valparaiso ... also returned six kickoffs for 120 yards with a season-long 35 yarder against Wagner.
as a sophomore (2010)
Started all 11 games at outside linebacker ... had 64 tackles (36 solo), including a team-high 12 for loss ... also forced a team-best three fumbles and broke up three passes ... forced a fumble and picked off his first career pass in a 28-17 win over Albany to earn NEC Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 27) ... finished the Albany game with a team high-tying seven tackles including one TFL ... had a season-high nine stops at CCSU ... added eight each against Monmouth (seven solo), at Robert Morris (along with a fumble forced and pass broken up) and vs. Saint Francis, Pa. (including a pair of quarterback hurries).
as a freshman (2009)
Played in all 11 games as a true freshman ... started the last three at inside linebacker ... finished the season seventh on the team with 48 total tackles (32 solo) ... his 5.0 tackles for loss tied Horvin Latimer for most TFL by a non-lineman ... had 26 tackles in his three starts including nine versus Wagner and Bryant sandwiched around eight at Sacred Heart ... forced a fumble at Robert Morris.
