Nathan Totino, who finished his playing year in 2010 as the fourth-leading tackler in school history, is in his second year as a defensive assistant.

The Pittsburgh native, who was a first team All-NEC linebacker 2008, led the Dukes in tackles in each of his final three seasons in finishing with 369 stops (197 solo).

The 2007 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Football League co-Rookie of the Year posted 19 double-digit tackle games, including a career-high 23 stops against Albany in 2008. The 23 tackles were the most by a Duquesne player since the school moved to the FCS level in 1993.

Totino, who completed his undergraduate degree in accounting in December of 2010, is currently enrolled in DU's graduate school of sports leadership.
