Threw for 2,050 yards and 20 touchdowns in his first full season as a starter ... completed 54.2 percent of his passes with a 129.93 efficiency rating (39th nationally) ... threw for two or more scores in seven of 11 games ... also ran for 286 yards and three scores ... threw for 15 TDs with just three interceptions in DU's last six games ... set career highs for completions (27), attempts (40) and yards (326) in handing Dayton its lone defeat in 2010 ... hit tight end Sean Bunevich with an 8-yard scoring pass with 21 seconds left to pull out the 35-31 win over the Flyers ... the pass capped an eight-play, 66-yard drive that took just 1:03 off the clock ... was named NEC Offensive Player of the Week following the Dayton game (Sept. 13) ... threw for 242 yards, including a 65-yard TD pass to Dave Williams in a 28-17 win over Albany ... was limited to just under two quarters of action in the Monmouth game (a 44-17 loss) due to an ankle injury suffered late against Albany ... with DU down 31-16 in the fourth quarter at CCSU, he piloted a 45-yard drive that ended with a 9-yard pass to Dave Williams with 2:07 left ... he followed that with an 89-yard drive in 1:37 that ended with a 5-yard pass to Williams as time expired ... a completed two-point conversion pass was denied when it was ruled that receiver Akeem Moore had stepped out of the end zone prior to making the catch in the 31-29 loss ... threw a 49-yard TD pass to Williams in the 37-17 win over Sacred Heart ... worked his late magic again the next week at Wagner when he hit Williams with a 16-yard TD with 1:41 left to erase a 20-7 fourth quarter deficit in a 21-20 win ... the victory denied Wagner coach Walt Hameline his 200th career win ... Patterson hit Williams with a 15-yard strike earlier in the quarter to make it 20-14 ... he was 4-of-9 for 91 yards on the game-winning 98-yard drive ... three of the completions converted 3rd-and-14, 3rd-and-8 and 3rd-and-15 situations ... the 16-yard touchdown pass to Williams came on 3rd-and-9 ... was named NEC Offensive Player of the Week for a second time (Nov. 15) after he completed 13-of-21 passes for 278 yards and five touchdowns (a season-long 79-yarder to Williams, 44, 10, 10 and 9 yards) in a 41-17 win over Saint Francis, Pa. ... he completed 7-of-9 passes for 191 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another in accounting for all four of DU's second quarter scores ... threw for two TDs (27 & 48 yards), ran for one (a 56-yarder) and caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from halfback Bill Bair in the season-ending 37-29 win at Bryant.

as a freshman (2009)
