as a freshman (2005): four-time MAAC Rookie of the Week & MAAC Offensive Rookie of the Year despite having his season cut short by a shoulder injury that sidelined him for the final three games ... won the starting quarterback position in preseason camp as a redshirt freshman ... completed 23-of-42 passes for a freshman-record 365 yards (the 7th-highest total in school history) and a touchdown in the season-opener vs. Robert Morris and followed that by completing 12-of-23 passes for 265 yards including TD tosses of 65 & 66 yards in the win vs. Fordham ... completed 49.8 percent of his passes (104-of-209) for 1,337 yards and 10 touchdowns ... threw two touchdown passes in three different games (Fordham, at Penn and at Marist) ... missed DU's last three games due to a shoulder injury suffered in the Oct. 22 Marist game.
