01/04/2012 Richert Named to Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Academic All-Star TeamJunior linebacker one of three NEC players named to 58-man FCS ADA team 10/04/2002 Football StaffMatt Stansfield, a center for the Dukes from 2003-07, is in is his third season on the coaching staff. The Meadville, Pa. native, who worked primarily with the DU running backs in 2009, added the title of run game coordinator prior to the 2010 season. A two-year starter at center, Stansfield was named first team All-MAAC in 2006 and 2007 and was a CoSida Academic All-District 2 pick in 2007. In all, he played for four MAAC championship teams. He got his start in coaching at Howard University where he coached the defensive line in 2008. Stansfield, who completed his undergraduate degree in accounting in 2007, added a master's in business administration in May of 2011. He resides in Pittsburgh.
