As a Sophomore (2008):
Started the first nine games before having his season cut short by a knee injury suffered in game nine at Wagner ... led the team with 110 stops (60 solo) despite missing the last five quarters of the season ... his 110 stops were 38 more than any other DU player and his 12.22 tackles per game average ranked fifth nationally ... his 60 solo tackles were 20 more than the nearest Duke and his 6.67 solo stops per game led the nation ... tied for team high with three fumbles forced (his .33 fumbles forced per game ranked tied for 12th nationally) ... added 3.5 tackles for loss ... had seven double-digit tackle games including a career-high 23 (13 solo) against Albany ... the 23 stops tied the most by an FCS player in 2008 and were the most by a Duquesne player since the Dukes moved up to the FCS level in 1993 ... was named NEC and ECAC Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 6) for his effort ... also had 16 tackles in the season opener at Bucknell (10 solo) and matched that total at Central Connecticut State.
As a Freshman (2007):
Saw action in all 10 games with nine starts as a true freshman ... his 93 total tackles ranked second on the team, fourth nationally among FCS freshmen and 42nd nationally (9.3/g.) ... led the team with 50 solo stops ... also broke up a pair of passes and recovered a fumble ... had four double-digit tackle games with a high of 14 at Sacred Heart ... added 13 at Iona, 11 versus Robert Morris and 10 at Marist ... was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Football League Rookie of the Week a league-high five times (Sept. 24, Oct. 8, Oct. 15, Oct. 29 & Nov. 19) on the way to being named the league's Defensive co-Rookie of the Year.
