  • The win tied DU head coach Greg Gattuso with Dan McCann for the most victories by a Dukes head coach ... Gattuso, who is now 91-29-0 in his 12th season, tied the previous school record set by Dan McCann (91-74-3) over 19 seasons (1970-83, `88-92)
  • The Dukes are now 5-4 vs. the Patriot League since the start of the 1999 season
  • Senior quarterback Niel Loebig (McDonald, Pa. / South Fayette) completed 21-of-40 passes for 348 yards and four TDs ... it was the eighth time he has thrown for four or more scores in his career ... Loebig's four touchdown passes went to four different receivers (Michel Warfield, Dan Spriggs, Chris Campbell and Bruce Hocker)
  • Spriggs, Campbell and Hocker entered the game with zero combined career receptions
  • Warfield (Oxon Hill, Md. / Bishop McNamara) finished the game with 8 catches for 157 yards ... he had three grabs for 90 yards in the first quarter alone
  • Senior cornerback Armar Watson (Forrestville, Md. / Suitland) intercepted a pair of passes, forced one, and recovered two fumbles in the first half as the Dukes forced six Holy Cross turnovers on the afternoon
  • Michael Hill (Largo, Md. / Eleanor Roosevelt) led the defense with 13 tackles (6 solo) and a sack
  • Junior middle linebacker Harry Carter (Lanham, Md. / Eleanor Roosevelt) added 12 stops (8 solo), intercepted a pass and also broke up a pass.
