"I told our kids after the game `you stunned me'. We played with a lot of heart today. We outhustled them and outhit them. We did it at Holy Cross and we did it today. Now we need to work on doing it every week.
On his school record 92nd win:
"You really never break a record set by a man like Dan McCann. He took over a program that was in a lot different condition than it was when I started. To win 91 games under those circumstances was quite an accomplishment. It really isn't fair to compare. In my mind, Dan is still the Man at Duquesne. I'm fortunate to have the support of our administration and our athletic director."
Duquesne running back James Jacobs:
"I didn't think I was going to have a game like this today. I wanted to pick [injured tailback] Jeremy [McCullough] up. We're close friends off the field. On the field we know we're both going to get the ball. I cheer for him, and he cheers for me. I knew the cutback was going to be there and I took advantage of it."
