Duquesne Head Coach Greg Gattuso:
"I'm proud of Mike. He turned some six yard runs into 20 yard runs. He ran very well at Bucknell and got 100 yards against a good team at Penn so it really didn't surprise me. We really wanted to establish the running game tonight. That's something we need to do to be a championship team.
"This was a good game for us confidence-wise."
Running Back Mike Hilliard:
"They ran a similar defense to the one we saw last week at Penn. I think that made it easier for us to prepare.
"I was struggling the first quarter. I thought it was something I ate for dinner. I started feeling better in the second quarter. I had no idea how many yards I had until late in the second quarter when someone on the sideline said I was close to the I-AA record for yards in a half. I kind of wish I didn't know.
"I wasn't getting hit sometimes until I got the safeties. There were some huge holes. The offensive line really got a great push off the ball. They did a tremendous job today.
"Records are nice to have, but it was more important for the team to bounce back this week after the loss to Penn."
