Stuart Named to CFPA FCS National Performer of the Year Watch List

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Duquesne quarterback Tommy Stuart (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall/Boise State) has been named to the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) FCS National Performer of the Year Trophy Midseason Watch List, the organization announced on Tuesday morning.
Stuart was one of 36 FCS players named to the midseason watch list. The award winner will be announced Jan. 10, 2018.
Stuart has helped the Dukes to a 7-1 overall mark with a 4-0 ledger in Northeast Conference (NEC) play on the year.
The Boise State graduate transfer ranks third in the FCS in completion percentage (69.6 percent) while also sitting fourth in the country in pass efficiency (172.8) and fifth in passing touchdowns (22).
He has completed 144-of-207 passes for 1775 yards with just four interceptions on the season. In addition, Stuart has rushed for 216 yards on 57 attempts with four rushing scores.
The Baltimore, Md. native has accounted for at least two total touchdowns in seven of eight games in 2017, highlighted by a five-touchdown performance at Robert Morris on Oct. 14.
He tossed four touchdowns apiece in wins over West Virginia Wesleyan and Wagner after rushing for two scores and throwing for two more in a 28-23 triumph at Dayton in week three.
Stuart finished with four touchdowns in a win at Valparaiso in week two, tallying a career-high 292 yards through the air with three passing touchdowns to go with a rushing score in the victory.
Stuart and the Dukes travel to Lynchburg, Va. for a non-conference matchup against Liberty this Saturday, Nov. 4 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
