Kuntz Earns AP All-America Honors

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne senior linebacker Christian Kuntz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) has been named Second Team Associated Press All-America, it was announced today. Kuntz joins nine-year NFL veteran Leigh Bodden as the only two-time FCS AP All-American in school history. Bodden, who played for four NFL teams from 2003-11, was a third team pick in 2001 and second team selection in 2002. This is the second-straight year Kuntz has earned second team honors.
Kuntz, who ranked second nationally in both sacks and tackles for loss this season, finished his career as the all-time sack leader in Northeast Conference history. He was named the NEC Defensive Player of the Year for the second time last month.
The Pittsburgh native finished 12th in voting for STATS FCS Buck Buchanan Award which is presented annually to the top defensive player in the FCS.
