Kuntz and Huss Named STATS FCS All-America
Dec. 20, 2016
PITTSBURGH - A pair of Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League products, linebacker Christian Kuntz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) and offensive lineman Ben Huss (Upper St. Clair, Pa./Upper St. Clair), were both named STATS FCS All-Americans today, marking the second time in school history - and second time in three years - that Duquesne has had multiple players named to one of STATS three All-America Teams.
Kuntz, who was named third team as a sophomore and became the first DU player to earn first team honors last season, was once again named to the first team, while Huss, a junior, was named to the third team.
Kuntz, who was named Associated Press All-America for a second time last week, is the first Duquesne player to earn All-America honors (from any outlet) three times. It is the first All-America mention for Huss who, like Kuntz, was a first team All-Northeast Conference pick this season.
Kuntz and Huss join receiver Chris King (third team) and kick returner Devin Rahming (second team), who were both named to the STATS FCS All-America team in 2014, as the only other Duquesne duo to earn All-America honors in the same season.
