Dukes 7th At 17-team IUP Tournament

Indiana, Pa. - Duquesne's men's golf team finished the one-day 17-team Cecil Spadafora Indiana University of Pennsylvania Invitational Wednesday afternoon in seventh place at the 6,536 yard par-71 Indiana Country Club. Senior Tom Wears and freshman Michael Edwards paced the Dukes with three-over par 74s for 19th place in the 87-player competition. The Dukes were tied for seventh by St. Francis (Loretto, Pa.) with 299 points. Clarion won the event topping West Liberty State on the first playoff hole. WL State's Matthew Hicks won the individual crown with a four-under par 67. Duquesne closes out the regular season schedule on Monday and Tuesday, April 25 and 26, 2005, at the Dayton Invitational. The Atlantic 10 Championships will be held over three days, Friday through Sunday, May 6-8, at the Newport National Golf Club in Middletown, R.I. Duquesne Scores
