Winter Garden, Fla. - Duquesne University's men's golf team cut 11 strokes from Friday's score and moved up two places following Saturday's second round of the Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship at the Orange County National Golf Club.

Freshman Brian Sidone (Ebensburg, PA / Central Cambria) shot a one-over 73, a stroke ahead of junior Derek Evans (Cheswick, PA / Fox Chepel). DU is now in 10th place.

Charlotte moved ahead of Xavier for a six-stroke lead in the team standings. Richmond's Jordan Utley broke the four-player tie for first with a four-under par 68.

The final round of the 54-hole event starts at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2006.
