Dukes Open 2009-10 Season at Bucknell Invitational

Duquesne's golf team opened the 2009-10 season with a 12th place showing of 14 teams at the two-day, three-round Bucknell Invitational. The Dukes shot a 302-303-309-914. Junior Ben Wolfe led the Dukes and finished third overall with a three-round score of 70-73-72-215. His first round 70 was a collegiate personal best as was his three-round score of 215, which was two strokes off a Duquesne record. Newcomer sophomore Sid Pandit finished second for DU and 39th in the 74-golfer field with a 74-78-77-229 while freshman Brian VanDeMotter placed 41st overall with a 78-73-79-230. The Dukes return to action on Sunday, Sept. 20 as they take part in the two-day, St. Bonaventure Invitational.
