Drew Ellis and Ryan D'Onofrio Pace Dukes at RMU

Coraopolis, Pa. - Sophomore Ryan D'Onofrio (Denver, CO / Pomona) and freshman Drew Ellis (Carnegie, PA / Carlynton) led Duquesne University's golf team at Monday's first round of the 11th Annual Crowne Plaza Colonial Classic at Montour Heights Country Club. Both players are tied for 10th with five-over par 77s. Sophomore Mike Edwards (Ann Arbor, MI / Saline) is a stroke back in a tie for 14th place. The Dukes are in fifth place, one stroke behind the fourth place Loyola Greyhounds. Dayton leads the seven-team event. The host Colonials' Jimmy Tomaseski leads 40 players with a one-under par 71. The final round of the event tees off with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. at Montour Heights.
