The Duquesne hockey team opened its 2003-04 season with a 10-1 victory over Slippery Rock.
Michael Papciak, Anthony Mazza and Patrick King each scored twice for the Dukes while Clint Hazen made 23 saves in goal.
The Red and Blue return to action this weekend as they host Drexel and Scranton.
