The Duquesne ice hockey team improved to 3-1 on the season by taking two of three wins at home October 3-5. The Dukes lost to visiting Drexel, 6-3 on Friday before bouncing back for a 6-1 win over Scranton on Saturday and a 4-3 triumph over Scranton on Sunday.

In the loss to Drexel, Anthony Mazza scored two goals while Jeff Pelletier had three assists and goalkeeper Clint Hazen made 22 saves. On Saturday, Mazza has two goals and two assists, Mike Papciak had two goals and three assists and Hazen made 22 saves. On Sunday, Papciak scored twice while Rob Donatucci added two goals and three assists and Hazen posted 21 saves.
