Dukes Lose Season Opener to Albany, 1-0

Duquesne's men's soccer team opened the 2004 slate with a 1-0 loss to visiting Albany in the first round of the Duquesne Invitational. The Dukes outshot the Great Danes, 19-5 but could not find the back of the net. Junior Steve Mellor fired a team-best six shots for DU.
The Red and Blue return to action tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 5 as they host Philadelphia University in the final game of the tournament.
