Men's Soccer Falls to Dartmouth, 1-0
Sept. 13, 2003
RICHMOND, Va. - Duquesne's men's soccer team fell to Dartmouth, 1-0, Saturday night in a first round match at the UR/ Nike Challenge Cup at First Market Stadium. The Dukes and the Big Green played each other Friday but that game was postponed because of inclement weather after the Dukes had marched out to a 2-0 lead at halftime on goals by senior Damien Pottinger and junior Jason Sourbeer. The game was re-started from the beginning rather than resumed from the point play stopped. (more)
The Dukes' other scheduled match in the event with Coastal Carolina has been canceled. In Saturday's second game, the Chants lost to the host Spiders 2-1. Richmond faces Dartmouth Sunday to complete the event.
The Dukes return to action on Friday as they travel to Robert Morris (2-3-1) for a 4:00 pm contest.
